In a recent post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump reignited his feud with pop star Taylor Swift as he left the Middle East. Trump's past comments about Swift began after she endorsed politician Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. While engaged in significant legislative battles over his domestic agenda, Trump took time to mock Swift's popularity, questioning its decline since his derogatory comment. This ongoing rivalry raises questions about why Trump remains fixated on Swift amid pressing political priorities.
"Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?,'" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," Swift wrote in her endorsement of Harris.
After spending his first 100 days issuing a historic level of executive orders, the president is counting on Republicans in Congress to ram through his 'One Big Beautiful Bill.'
It's not clear why Trump chose this revisit this fight on Friday, but it's been ongoing since last September.
