""The authorities described the shooting as a lone, targeted attack on ICE and said the gunman, Joshua Jahn who shot himself dead after spraying the exterior of the facility with bullets wrote ANTI-ICE on one bullet casing. But in the violent chaos, no law enforcement officers were injured and instead a government van was hit that was holding shackled immigrants on their way to detention.""
Stephany Gauffeny lost her husband, Miguel Garcia-Hernandez, after he was shot outside a Dallas ICE detention facility and later died of his wounds. Three detainees from Latin America were struck in the attack; Norlan Guzman-Fuentes died the day of the shooting and Jose Andres Bordones-Molina was later released. The gunman, Joshua Jahn, shot himself dead and left a casing marked ANTI-ICE. A government van carrying shackled immigrants was hit while no law enforcement officers were injured. Gauffeny gave birth to their son, Miles Alexander, three days after Garcia-Hernandez's death and the family buried him the following week.
