At Expo 2025 Osaka, the Swiss Pavilion introduces an innovative structure described as the lightest in its history, with interconnected spherical volumes that symbolize both lightness and strength. Designed collaboratively, the pavilion consists of five immersive zones reflecting Switzerland's innovation, under the theme 'From Heidi to High Tech'. Visitors experience an engaging journey starting with traditional motifs and progressing through areas highlighting advanced concepts like artificial intelligence and environmental sensing, culminating in a modern representation of their cultural heritage.
Visitors begin their journey through a large-scale paper cutting, referencing traditional Swiss silhouettes while setting the tone for a narrative that merges heritage with contemporary research.
The architectural layout, lighting concept, and scenography are conceived as an integrated whole, creating a cohesive visitor experience rooted in clarity, contrast, and continuity.
