Munich-based Filics secures 13.5M to bring space-saving robotics to more warehouses across Europe - Silicon Canals
Briefly

Filics, a Munich-based robotic startup, has secured €13.5M in financing from various investors to accelerate the development of its Filics Unit, a double-runner system for automated pallet transport. By the end of 2025, the company aims to adapt its platform for floor block storage systems and enter new European markets in 2026. The funding will also support advancements towards fully autonomous truck loading capabilities. Since its founding in 2021 by engineers from the Technical University of Munich, Filics has focused on efficient in-house pallet transportation solutions.
The Filics Unit features two independent robots capable of lifting and transporting Euro pallets or pallet cages. It can safely move weights of up to 1.2 tons.
Filics plans to further develop technology for fully autonomous truck loading in under five minutes, enhancing warehouse efficiency and reducing labor costs.
