"The markets for years convinced themselves that we would fail, and they didn't need to react to us, and that was helpful to us,"
"We were out of sight and out of mind."
By early 2025 the United States reached nearly 100 million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity. Venture Global began shipping LNG three years ago and is projected to exceed that volume by 2030 through rapid project build-outs. The company uses unconventional project designs and outsider strategies that accelerate timelines and lower costs, enabling rapid capacity additions. Growth in U.S. LNG is driven by the shale gas boom, rising global power demand, and efforts to reduce dependence on Russian gas. North American LNG export capacity is forecast to more than double from 2024 to 2028, with further expansion planned into the early 2030s.
