A single-player Dungeons & Dragons game is in development
Briefly

Stig Asmussen, known for directing major titles like God of War III, is developing a new single-player action-adventure Dungeons & Dragons game with his studio, Giant Skull. Partnering with Wizards of the Coast, this project is still in early stages with no set release date, likely not before 2026. The game will utilize Unreal Engine 5 and aims to offer immersive storytelling and engaging gameplay. This collaboration marks a new direction for Wizards of the Coast as they conclude their partnership with Larian Studios after Baldur's Gate 3.
Stig and the team at Giant Skull are exactly the type of exceptionally talented creators we want to work with on this new project.
Our goal is to craft a rich new Dungeons & Dragons universe filled with immersive storytelling, heroic combat and exhilarating traversal.
