Call Of Duty: Warzone Is Dying On PS4 And Xbox One
Warzone will stop being playable on PS4 and Xbox One as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches. Warzone will no longer be playable starting with MW4 Season 1, expected shortly after the October 23 release. The game will be delisted for new downloads on June 4, while existing players can continue playing. Call of Duty Points bundles will be removed on PS4 and Xbox One, and the Warzone in-game store on those platforms will be removed on June 25. Players can still progress through the free Battle Pass. Call of Duty Points purchased with an Activision account should remain available if the same account is used. MW4 Season 1 content will begin appearing in Warzone when it launches.
"Starting with MW4 Season 1 (which itself is expected "shortly" after the game releases on October 23), Warzone will no longer be playable on PS4 and Xbox One. The game itself will be delisted for new downloads on those platforms on June 4, though anyone who still has the game can keep playing. Items like Call of Duty Points bundles will be removed on PS4 and Xbox One as well."
"Then on June 25, the in-game store for Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One will be removed. Players will still be able to progress through the free Battle Pass, however. People playing Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One who hold a Call of Duty Points balance when the game closes aren't completely out of luck."
"That's because content purchased with Call of Duty Points is connected to your Activision account, so as long as you're playing with the same account, your currency balance and purchased content should still be there. You can to get more specifics about this. Activision also announced that when MW4 Season 1 launches, content from that game will begin to appear in Warzone."
"Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2. An open beta is coming ahead of launch, and you can get in early."
