Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive have launched Patch 1.2.3 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, significantly nerfing the powerful Stendahl ability used by Maelle, reducing its damage by 40%. Although this nerf is substantial, the patch compensates by doubling the damage of Maelle's Medalum weapon in Virtuose stance, enhancing her overall gameplay. Additionally, the patch introduces improved widescreen support and resolves several issues related to areas where players could become stuck. Developers indicate that this balance change is the first of several upcoming updates aiming to enhance player experience further.
The developers admitted that they made Stendahl a little too powerful and would nerf it in the next patch.
While that's a pretty massive nerf, Maelle's Medalum weapon now doubles all damage in Virtuose stance.
This is the first in a series of patches we are looking to do over the coming months.
The patch also brings improved widescreen support and addresses areas where players could get stuck exploring.
