"The Executioner affix, meanwhile, is currently disabled entirely due to patch 2.5.2 introducing a persistent audio bug related to it. The bright side is Blizzard is taking the opportunity to rework the affix to make it less punishing, with the new and improved version of the affix set to return in a later update. For the unfamiliar, Executioner is an affix enemies can have that causes swords to fall from the sky"
"In a forum post, Marcoose outlined what changes Blizzard intends in order to make Executioner feel a little more forgiving. Those changes will include a one-second spawn cooldown, with only one sword spawning instead of multiple when killing groups of enemies with Executioner all at once. Blizzard will also remove the tracking period of the swords themselves, which will instead fall as soon as they reach the player. That should make them easier to predict."
Patch 2.5.2 reintroduced leaderboards via The Tower, but leaderboard results are not populating correctly for all classes. The Tower remains accessible while Blizzard investigates the leaderboard population issue. The Executioner enemy affix is disabled due to a persistent audio bug introduced by the patch. Blizzard will rework Executioner to make it less punishing and plans to return the affix in a later update. Planned changes include a one-second spawn cooldown, only one sword spawning instead of multiples, and removal of the swords' tracking period so they fall as soon as they reach the player. Lord of Hatred launches April 28; preorder players can access the Paladin now and a prequel novel is available for preorder.
