Combat uses timing-based encounters with a satisfying rhythm that feels like Arkham gameplay, though it is slower at default difficulty and simplified overall. Higher difficulty settings provide more challenge. The open world resembles Arkham City and Arkham Knight, offering a sprawling but not bloated city filled with crimes, hidden collectibles, racing and combat challenges, and environmental puzzles tied to Riddler and Cluemaster. Batmobile driving feels strong, with frequent rooftop gliding and traversal options such as bolting out of the cockpit and transitioning from grapple points into air-launches. Stealth lacks depth compared with earlier Arkham games, making it less satisfying for players who prioritize stealth systems.
"All that said, depending on why you come to the Arkham games, there are certain sticking points that will be less satisfying. The stealth is a major shortcoming, lacking a lot of the depth of the Arkham's preda"
