Bethesda has officially released a remaster of 'The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion,' developed by Virtuos. Available on PC and Xbox Series X for $49.99, this remaster uses Unreal Engine 5 for improved graphics, including better lighting and textures. The game features updated UI and leveling systems and introduces new combat mechanics, such as a sprint button. However, questions remain about mod support and whether classic bugs from the original game will persist. Overall, Bethesda aims to modernize the experience while preserving the essence of the beloved RPG.
"We've modernized a lot, but it's still the same incredible adventure and the same carefully crafted world," a Bethesda's external projects and studio director Tom Mustaine said during the stream.
Oblivion Remastered uses Unreal Engine 5 to give the entire world a high-resolution makeover with improved lighting and textures.
