Overwatch 2 Season 18 launches August 26 and will include a competitive rank reset and over 50 new perks, with every hero receiving at least one. The season's trailer ends with a silhouette of Joker from Persona 5, suggesting a Persona crossover that could grant several heroes Persona-based costumes, though Blizzard has not confirmed details or dates. Stadium Quick Play debuts with shorter matches, a faster item economy, cross-play support, and initially includes Winston, Brigitte, and Pharah, with Tracer arriving mid-season. The new hero Wuyang brings water-based abilities and signals a shift away from purely oddball character designs.
Assuming the Overwatch 2 x Persona crossover follows the example set by the game's previous collaborations, a handful of the former's characters will get new costumes based on the latter's iconic heroes. For now, Blizzard hasn't shared any further details about the new collaboration or when it will launch in-game. Some of the previous collaborations have given Overwatch 2 heroes costumes from G.I. Joe, Transformers, Street Fighter, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
In the meantime, Blizzard is spreading the word about Season 18's Stadium Quick Play, which will feature shorter match times, a quicker item economy, and cross-play support. Winston, Brigitte, and Pharah will be available at the launch of Stadium Quick Play, with Tracer slated to arrive mid-season. The most prominent addition to the game is its newest hero, Wuyang, whose water-based abilities may remind fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
