Overwatch Nerfs Jetpack Cat To Make Her Less Of A Feral Threat

"Jetpack Cat's minor perk Claws Out--which grants her a quick melee attack that damages and slows enemies over time--now has a longer cooldown, increasing from six to eight seconds. The bigger nerf is directed toward the major perk Territorial, which gives her Purr healing ability the trait of damaging nearby enemies--that damage has been reduced from 50% to 33%."

"While the nerfs to Jetpack Cat make her less of a menace in one-to-one combat, the Jennifer Hale-voiced character is still quite the formidable furry foe on the battlefield due to her ability to tether and carry teammates, leading to unbelievable plays."

Blizzard Entertainment released a patch for Overwatch addressing balance changes across multiple heroes. Jetpack Cat, a newly introduced flying feline support character, received significant nerfs following her popularity and frequent bans in Ranked Mode. The Claws Out perk cooldown increased from six to eight seconds, while the Territorial perk damage decreased from 50% to 33%. The patch also fixed animation issues with Jetpack Cat's tether ability and aim-assist settings. Other adjustments included nerfs to Vendetta's sword and buffs to Domina, Anran, and Emre. Despite these nerfs, Jetpack Cat remains a powerful character due to her tether and teammate-carrying abilities.
