Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 will be released as an Enhanced Edition on PlayStation 5 this summer, with similar updates for Xbox and PC. Developer Ninja Theory announced this via social media, emphasizing their commitment to the PlayStation community. The game, originally launched to moderate reviews, struggled to capture lasting player engagement or buzz following its release, potentially due to minimal marketing efforts and disappointing sales numbers. The upcoming Enhanced Edition may revive interest among fans of the series, particularly those familiar with the original Hellblade game.
We have such incredible fans of Ninja Theory on PlayStation, going all the way back to the days of Heavenly Sword, and we're so pleased we can welcome PlayStation fans back to Senua's story.
The game, which will release this summer, is going to include some enhancements that will also be made available on Xbox and PC as an update.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 launched to decent reviews and has picked up numerous awards, but otherwise failed to make much impact.
Perhaps most damning of all, though, is that nobody seemed to be talking about it. Within just days it had already faded out of the gaming consciousness.
