Development efforts include improvements to space gameplay to make travel more rewarding, additions of new game systems, and several smaller features. Shattered Space, the first story DLC released in September 2024, added a new planet plus weapons and gear. Unconfirmed leaks suggest potential PS5 and Switch 2 ports in 2026. Bethesda Game Studios is also developing The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5, with Oblivion Remastered ranking as 2025's second best-selling US game.
