Survival Kids proves Nintendo Switch 2 isn't just about Mario Kart World
Briefly

Console launches can unveil unexpected gems, and the Nintendo Switch 2 is no exception with the debut of Konami's Survival Kids. This new entry in the tropical survival sim genre allows up to four players to team up as they are shipwrecked on a mysterious island, gathering resources and exploring lush environments. The game leverages the Switch 2's innovative GameShare feature, enabling players to enjoy co-op without everyone needing a copy, fostering an engaging shared gaming experience.
The interesting thing about console launches is that you never know what unexpected treasures will emerge from the first batch of games.
It's the latest in the publisher's cult series of tropical island survival sims, which began on the Game Boy Color and, despite never really attracting vast global success, continued on to the Nintendo DS under a new name, Lost in Blue.
Four people can play online, but the game also supports Switch 2's game sharing, which lets one person who owns the game connect wirelessly with other consoles to play together.
With GameShare, we can compress one of those views and stream it – we render everything three times and push that out to two other consoles.
