Tony Hawk Meets Trains In This Kick-Flipping Dystopia, Coming To Xbox Game Pass In 2026
Briefly

Denshattack is a futuristic game announced at Gamescom, set in dystopian Japan where players perform tricks on trains. Inspired by Japanese art, culture, and music, the game captures the essence of skateboarding within a train context. Players take on the role of a rebellious teenager reclaiming abandoned railways, executing various tricks while competing against gangs and a controlling megacorporation. Featuring over 50 levels and colorful characters, Denshattack is set to launch in early 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with availability on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
"Creating the world of Denshattack has been a joy for the team. Inspired by the art, culture, and music of Japan, and, of course, our love of trains and skateboarding, Denshattack is a project we've wanted to make for a long time, and we can't wait for the world to experience what we've been building."
As seen in the reveal trailer, Denshattack features all of the trademark gameplay you'd come to expect from a title like Tony Hawk, with a splash of the 3D Sonic games thanks to lead composer Tee Lopes.
As a rebellious teenager part of a movement to reclaim the abandoned railways of Japan, you'll drift on walls, pull off death-defying flips, hop on and off rails, and smash through other train conductors as you vie for territory among the gangs and challenge a megacorporation that keeps most of the population docile.
You'll face off against several colorful characters across 50+ levels. Denshattack is set to launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in early 2026.
