Capturing is easiest by defeating Pikachu in battle so it becomes dazed, then throwing a Poke Ball or Great Ball for higher success. Typical wild Pikachu in Wild Zone 3 are levels 6–8. Alpha Pikachu variants exist, being larger and more aggressive; an Alpha was found in Wild Zone 6 at level 41 on a rooftop. Pikachu is Electric-type and evolves Pichu → Pikachu → Raichu via a Thunder Stone.
