Where To Find The Secret Entrance In Peak - Tomb Guide
"The secret entrance in Peak is one of the game's biggest current mysteries. Introduced with the Mesa update in August, the secret entrance leads to the Tomb, a hidden area found deep underground of the namesake biome. The catch is that the secret entrance is not only hard to find, but there's no guarantee that you'll see it every day, due to the daily map rotation. If you're wondering where to find the secret entrance in Peak and when it opens, we've got you covered."
"When you step into Mesa, the secret entrance is generally somewhere along the first half of the biome. That is, the plain grounds before you get into the massive gap on the floor that forces you to descend and then climb back up, which takes you to the proper climbing section toward the summit, right before Caldera. The gap is usually small and easy to miss, but you'll largely see it at ground level around Mesa's starting point."
"That being said, if you wait until nighttime in-game, you'll see a trace of "smoke" coming out of it, which serves as a helpful beacon. The secret entrance leads to the Tomb area. Grab onto the walls to start descending and use the aforementioned platforms to carefully make it to the Tomb. There, make sure to grab a torch and start making your way inside."
The secret entrance to the Tomb is located within the Mesa biome of Peak and always appears somewhere along the biome's first half. The entrance is randomized and may not appear daily because of the game's daily map rotation. Players should look for a hole in the ground near Mesa's starting plain, distinct from sand pits by visible platforms underneath, and at nighttime a trace of smoke emits as a beacon. Descend by grabbing walls and using platforms, then obtain a torch in the Tomb. The route includes long maze-like corridors and a section requiring stamina regen items or tools to traverse.
