Brandon Duhaime and wife Kaylee pulled off surprise wedding in Florida Keys during Olympic break: 'We didn't really want to go the traditional route'

""I'm getting a hard time from them, but we kept it really tight," he joked. "I probably had five buddies from Florida that drove up. It's kind of a big ask, to get everyone down to Key West, so we kept it pretty local with our Florida friends.""

""I wish I saw it, honestly," he said. "We were already tucked away. By the time they got off the boat and sat down, we were already kind of walking down the aisle, so we didn't get a chance to see their reactions. But hopefully the photographer sends us the pictures of their reactions. They were pretty fun.""

Brandon Duhaime and his wife Kaylee held a surprise wedding over the Olympic break in the Florida Keys with a very small guest list. The couple planned a reveal so guests would learn they were attending a wedding only upon arrival. Duhaime announced the marriage publicly on Instagram. Only Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Peeke, a childhood friend, attended from the NHL ranks. Most Washington Capitals teammates did not attend, prompting playful chirps from teammates. About five friends from Florida drove up for the event. Duhaime and Kaylee were tucked away during the reveal and hoped the photographer captured guests' reactions.
