Jordan Binnington tried to steal Alex Ovechkin's milestone 900th goal puck
"The St. Louis Blues goaltender surrendered Alex Ovechkin's 900th career goal, and then tried to keep the milestone goal puck for himself. As Ovechkin celebrated with his teammates along the boards, Binnington fished the puck out of the net with his stick and then put the goal puck down his pants, near his buttocks. He then tried to skate to the Blues bench to stash the keepsake away."
"NHL linesman Michel Cormier, however, was wise to Binnington's attempted heist and asked him for the puck back. Binngton acquiesced and reached back into his pants to give him the puck. Ovechkin has been keeping all his milestone gear, including the goal pucks, after every goal he scores. He was seen giving the stick he scored 900 with to Capitals equipment manager Brock Myles when he went back to the bench."
