The Nats' clubhouse book club is on a journey to Middle-earth this season
Briefly

Trevor Williams initiated a clubhouse reading program for the Washington Nationals, transforming a Bible study into an informal book club. With eight members, including notable players like Kyle Finnegan and MacKenzie Gore, the group explores J.R.R. Tolkien's classics. They recently completed 'The Hobbit' and plan to read 'The Fellowship of the Ring.' The initiative aims to enhance team bonding through literature, allowing players to connect over shared discussions and fresh ideas outside the realm of baseball.
You'd never think that a bunch of baseball players wanted to be in a book club together. But it's been fun to read different stories and learn different things and hear different viewpoints.
It's just a good team-building thing. It gives us something to talk about away from baseball.
