Sun exploring new investment, possible sale, relo
Briefly

The Connecticut Sun's ownership, led by Jennifer Rizzotti, is exploring options for strategic investments, including a potential sale and relocation of the franchise. The investment bank Allen & Co. has been hired to assess the situation. Since its establishment in Uncasville in 2003, the Sun has not only been the first non-NBA owned WNBA team but also the first to become profitable. Despite the lack of team relocations in recent years, ownership remains committed to evaluating all options for the team's success, particularly in light of recent growth in viewership and interest in the WNBA.
Mohegan remains committed to the team's continued success which includes looking at all strategic options in the best interest of the CT Sun, MTGA and WNBA.
Rizzotti called Mohegan's decision the move of "responsible business owners" and that "it's more about being consistent and sustainable than just winning games."
