Wizards could be circling one of the NBA Draft's biggest sleepers

The Washington Wizards are evaluating prospects for the 2026 NBA Draft, including players who could be available at No. 51 or who might prompt a trade to move up. Jeremy Fears Jr. has emerged as a major riser after a predraft workout with Washington. He is the brother of Jeremiah Fears, an All-Rookie team member, whom Washington previously passed on in favor of Tre Johnson. At Michigan State, Jeremy Fears averaged 15.2 points and 9.4 assists while shooting 43.1% from the field and 32.1% from three. Despite being 6-foot-2, his athleticism and basketball IQ could fit Washington’s needs, though his size may complicate selection. Other teams are also interested, making it unlikely he falls to No. 51.
