"Ionescu now is a guard for the New York Liberty after graduating from Miramonte in 2016. Her high school career at Miramonte had extreme success, which was followed by her talents growing at an NCAA level at the University of Oregon. In 2020, she was the No.1 overall pick in the WNBA draft and has since become a WNBA All-Star and an Olympian."

Miramonte High School in Orinda, California has officially designated its gymnasium as the Sabrina Ionescu Gymnasium in honor of the school's renowned alumna. Ionescu graduated from Miramonte in 2016 and went on to achieve significant athletic success at the University of Oregon before becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA draft. She currently plays as a guard for the New York Liberty and has earned WNBA All-Star status and Olympic recognition. School Principal Ben Campopiano acknowledged Ionescu's lasting legacy and continued influence on the campus community. The Acalanes Union High School District approved the facility renaming, though a ceremony date has not yet been scheduled.
