Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop is a high-end collaboration combining Royal Oak and Swatch Pop aesthetics, originally intended as a pocket watch rather than a wristwatch. Some watch enthusiasts believe it should be worn on the wrist. Lambertus, an independent maison, is creating case-straps for the Royal Pop and is offering reservations for $95 through the Royal Pop Wrist Bands website. The straps are called Chapter I and are currently in R&D, with no clear deadline for completion. The project includes eight colorways and two case designs: Lépine with a 12 o’clock crown and hour and minute hands, and Savonnette with a 3 o’clock crown plus hour, minute, and a small second hand at 6 o’clock.
