Researchers in China have created innovative infrared contact lenses that enable visibility in darkness by transforming infrared light into colors visible to the human eye. Using a combination of soft contact lenses and nanoparticles, the lenses facilitate the upconversion of infrared wavelengths (800-1,600 nm) into visible light.
