Takashi Murakami Adds His Signature Style to Dom Perignon
"Murakami's collaboration with Dom Pérignon extends beyond decoration - it's a conversation rooted in nature. For Dom Pérignon, nature is where it begins, as well as the medium itself - the grapes, unpredictable climate, and human touch - are all encapsulated within the confines of the glass. Murakami also interprets nature through transformation - his surreal, smiling flowers and dreamlike characters capture both the natural and artificial worlds, between nature's evolution and the artist's reimagining of it."
"In the 2025 collection, this exchange comes alive through vibrant contrasts and symbolic design. The dark, minimalist bottles and coffrets are punctuated by bursts of Murakami's iconic blooms, each one a cheerful, animated embodiment of vitality. The champagne's historic crest becomes a portal to a whimsical, flower-filled world, where refinement meets exuberance and timeless craftsmanship meets contemporary imagination. The Vintage 2015 and Rosé Vintage 2010, both having distinctive color palettes and overall feelings, alike to the years themselves."
Takashi Murakami partnered with Dom Pérignon to produce two limited-edition bottles for the close of the 2025 season: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010. The collaboration centers on nature as both origin and medium, highlighting grapes, climate, and human touch encapsulated in the glass. Murakami’s surreal, smiling flowers and dreamlike characters translate nature through transformation, blending natural and artificial realms. Design contrasts pair dark, minimalist bottles and coffrets with bursts of animated blooms. The historic crest is reframed as a portal to a whimsical floral world, and the boxes form a modular composition when displayed together.
