Newlyweds Jack McGowan and Kathryn from Northern Ireland surprised many with their decision to have 95 bridesmaids at their wedding. Initially envisioning a small group, their plans evolved to include women of varying ages. The couple emphasized the importance of friendship and community, with Kathryn expressing her desire to have those significant in her life participate in the celebration. Despite the large bridal party, the event was well-organized, creating a joyous atmosphere filled with dancing and piping, as celebrated by both the bride and groom.
The girls all know how to get in formation and organise themselves very quickly, the glowing bride said.
All my dancers and my friends that have been in my life for a long time, they're still very much a massive part of my life.
It was absolutely brilliant, said the beaming groom. It was better than we ever imagined, there was dancing and piping all day long.
I'm used to these big events with lots and lots of our dancers, so I strangely expected nothing less, said the groom.
