Co-founder leaves multi-club owners Mercury13
"From the start, Mercury13 was rooted in a mission to accelerate the commercial recognition of European women's football and unlock its full potential. I built this company to demonstrate what is possible when the women's game is approached with conviction, innovation, and long-term belief."
"Today marks the end of my chapter at Mercury13. I described my time at Mercury13 as the privilege of my lifetime and believes the game is in a better place following their investment."
Victoire Cogevina Reynal, co-founder of Mercury13, has left the multi-club ownership group five months following their September 2025 acquisition of Bristol City Women. Mercury13, established in 2023, has invested in women's football clubs globally, including Italian club Como Women and attempted takeovers of other clubs. The group pledged over 80 million pounds for buying and transforming women's clubs worldwide. Reynal, an American-born London-based entrepreneur and UN ambassador for gender equality in football, led Mercury13 alongside Mario Malave. In her departure statement, Reynal emphasized Mercury13's mission to accelerate commercial recognition of European women's football and unlock its potential through conviction, innovation, and long-term commitment.
