Demi Vollering, from FDJ-Suez, crashed during the Dutch national road race but seems to have avoided major injuries, despite soreness in her arm, neck, and shoulder. Vollering aimed to participate to prepare for the Tour de France Femmes and engaged actively in the race until the crash in the final 7km took down multiple riders. While finishing the race without significant injury, she expressed regret about competing and briefly worried about her capacity to participate in future events due to pain.
I don't think I suffered any consequences. I do have a very sore arm, neck and shoulder, but I think everything is still intact.
It's never chill. They went down in front of me, and there was no escape at 50 kilometers per hour.
At this moment I think 'damn, I should have stayed home'.
But once I was on the ground, I thought 'I think I won't be able to race'. I was worried for a moment.
