Keys cruises following day of upsets at Wimbledon
Briefly

Madison Keys advanced to the third round of Wimbledon by defeating Olga Danilovic 6-4, 6-2. Keys aimed to gain early momentum against her opponent, knowing Danilovic could produce strong tennis. Previously, Keys had a tougher opening match, defeating Elena-Gabriela Ruse in a third-set showdown, marking her fifth major win of the season that extended beyond 5-all in the final set, an Open Era record. In the second round, she demonstrated dominance with 19 winners in just 75 minutes. Her overall grass record is one of the highest among active women players.

Keys had an easier time of it Wednesday, firing off 19 winners and wrapping up the second-round match in 75 minutes.
Her fifth major win this season that went past 5-all in the third set sets an Open Era record for a single year.
