Texas adds 2nd top-10 women's hoops commit
"I chose Texas because of the strong winning culture and it really felt like home. It is an amazing opportunity for me to compete on the biggest stages and against the best competition in the country,"
"My goal is to do whatever it takes to help bring a national championship to Texas."
Addison Bjorn, the No. 10 recruit in the SC Next 100 class of 2026, committed to Texas and joins Brihanna Crittendon as a back-to-back top-10 prospect for coach Vic Schaefer. Bjorn selected Texas over Iowa, North Carolina, UConn, Kansas, Notre Dame and Duke, citing a strong winning culture and high-level competition. The 6-foot-1 wing has extensive USA Basketball experience with gold medals at the 2025 U19 World Cup, 2024 U17 World Cup and 2023 U16 AmeriCup. She averaged 17.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 65% shooting for All Iowa Attack and projects as a versatile, early-impact player alongside Aaliyah Crump and Madison Booker. Texas' 2026 class also includes top-60 recruits Aaliah Spaight and Amalia Holguin.
