Trinity Rodman returned to training with the Washington Spirit on Saturday for the first time in three months after struggling with a back injury since the Olympics.
Rodman participated in about half of Saturday's training session and shifted to individual work as her team transitioned into an 11-v-11 game.
USWNT head coach Emma Hayes noted, 'She's in great spirits, and I know we're moving in the right direction with Trin.' HRodman's return involves significant support from both club and country.
The NWSL is currently experiencing a month-long break, with friendly matches for the Spirit scheduled before the regular season resumes on August 3.
