Religious resurgence stirs Gen Z
""When we're seeing the gender gap essentially disappear ... among the young people, that's an interesting finding.""
""There are anecdotes, but we just are not finding anything in our data.""
""In certain parishes, there definitely is revival. But it's not at a national level. There's no hard evidence. It just seems anecdotal.""
A Gallup poll indicates that 42% of young men aged 18-29 consider religion 'very important,' a significant increase from 28% previously. This change suggests a diminishing gender gap in religious importance among young people. Despite some reports of increased church attendance among Gen Z men, evidence does not support a nationwide religious revival. Many young men are still religiously unaffiliated, with 34% identifying as such. Only 11% attend services weekly, while 38% never attend.
