Francesca McGhie, a 22-year-old international wing from Scotland, has signed with Trailfinders Women after an impressive stint at Leicester Tigers. Having earned 22 caps and scored 10 tries since her debut in 2023, McGhie was a vital player in Scotland’s recent Six Nations campaign. She expressed enthusiasm about the ambitions of her new team and the coaching staff, feeling it is a place where she can further develop her skills. Additionally, she will reunite with three Scotland teammates at Trailfinders, enhancing the backline as they aim to improve from last season's seventh place in the Premiership Women's Rugby.
There's a great ambition here, and there are people and coaches here that I think can add to my game. I feel this is a team I can really develop with.
