Members of Peta protested before the Mid-Autumn festival urging vegetarian options and avoidance of live-animal grilling. Trade unions staged a nationwide 24-hour strike demanding higher wages and withdrawal of a bill proposing changes to working hours. Cattle were prepared for judging at a dairy show while para-athlete Vanessa Low won gold in the T63 long jump final.
