Aston Martin chief claims Horner is ringing every team owner' in F1 for a job
"The former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been engaged in a concerted effort to make a return to Formula One, with the Aston Martin team principal, Andy Cowell, asserting that Horner had recently been in contact with pretty much every team owner. Horner was dismissed by Red Bull in July and his settlement with the team allows him to return in the early part of next year."
"Horner is understood to be eager to return to the sport. His tenure at Red Bull ended after a year and a half of turbulence that had begun when he was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female colleague. Allegations which he denied and for which he was twice exonerated by an independent investigation. Before the weekend in Singapore began the Haas team principal, Ayao Komatsu, also said Horner had been in touch with his team."
Christian Horner has been pursuing a return to Formula One and has contacted numerous team owners since his July dismissal from Red Bull. His settlement with Red Bull permits a comeback in the early part of next year. Aston Martin’s team principal and CEO Andy Cowell said Horner had been in touch but stated there are no plans for Horner to take an operational or investment role with Aston Martin. Horner’s departure followed a turbulent 18 months that included accusations of inappropriate behavior, which he denied and was twice exonerated of by independent investigations. Haas confirmed Horner made an approach but said talks were exploratory and concluded.
