Donald Trump plans to pardon Joe Lewis for a 2024 insider‑trading conviction. Lewis, 88, pleaded guilty and received a $5m personal fine and three years' probation, avoiding jail. A New York judge also imposed a $44m fine on Lewis's company, Broad Bay. Prosecutors said the scheme was designed to enrich friends, lovers and employees.
