While initial Iranian attacks focused on military assets, Gulf countries reported expanded targeting of civilian infrastructure such as hotels, airports, and energy facilities. Regional air defense systems intercepted significant numbers of Iranian missiles and drones. Bahrain destroyed 73 missiles and 91 drones, the UAE intercepted 172 of 186 missiles and 755 of 812 drones, and Qatar intercepted 98 of 101 ballistic missiles. US military facilities including the 5th Fleet headquarters in Manama and Al Udeid airbase in Qatar were targeted.
