Israel's defense minister announced that Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib was killed overnight, following the recent assassinations of Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij paramilitary force. The defense minister stated that the intensity of strikes in Iran is reaching new levels and declared Israel's policy that no one in Iran has immunity and everyone is a target. Iranian authorities had not immediately responded to these claims at the time of reporting.
