Israeli attack on Gaza City kills at least 10, including four children

An Israeli air raid in northern Gaza killed at least 10 people, including four children, and injured more than 20 others in an attack on a residential building in Gaza City. The strike occurred hours after dozens of Palestinians attended the funeral of Mohammad Odeh, head of Hamas’s armed wing, who was killed in an Israeli attack on Tuesday along with his wife and son. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Odeh had been Hamas’s head of intelligence during the October 7, 2023 attacks and was appointed to lead the armed wing last week. Local authorities reported more than 3,000 violations of the nominal ceasefire that began in October, and residents described conditions as dire with fears of further attacks.

She said several children were playing in a nearby park when the attack took place. Parents were reluctant to leave their homes or tents with their children due to fears they could be killed in Israeli attacks, Khoudary said."
