We control our security, he added."
Israeli strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon killed three people, including a Syrian national struck in al-Hafir, the Lebanese Health Ministry said. Two victims died in Baalbek and one in Naqoura, Tyre province. Israeli military statements said the strikes targeted Hezbollah members and named Ali Hussein al-Mousawi and Abed Mahmoud al-Sayed as killed, alleging roles in arms transfers and local representation. Hezbollah has not confirmed the reported deaths. The fatalities occurred about 11 months after a ceasefire with Hezbollah. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Israel would act independently to defend itself. The UN peacekeeping force reported an Israeli drone dropped a grenade near a patrol.
