The flotilla was bound for Gaza to deliver aid. Flotilla organizers reported that livestreams and communications were cut on the intercepted vessels and that the status of participants and crew remained unconfirmed. The Israeli ministry posted that Greta Thunberg and accompanying activists were safe and healthy. Turkey's Foreign Ministry condemned the interception as an act of terrorism.
