Ngarannam Resettlement Project emerged in response to the Boko Haram insurgency that devastated the community in 2015 and displaced more than 3,000 people. The project provides planned resettlement to restore housing, services, and community stability for displaced residents. The initiative operates through a partnership between the Government of Nigeria and UNDP, using the Nigeria Window of the Stabilization Facility within the Lake Chad Basin Regional Stabilization Facility. Ngarannam was selected as one of seven target communities to receive stabilization and recovery support. The project aims to rebuild infrastructure, enable return or resettlement, and support long-term social and economic recovery for affected populations.
