In 1922 the entrance to King Tutankhamen's tomb was discovered in Egypt, and in 2007 the pharaoh's face was unveiled to the public for the first time in more than 3,000 years. In 1979 militant students stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, initiating the Iran hostage crisis that held 52 hostages for 444 days. Ronald Reagan won the presidency in 1980 and opened his presidential library in 1991. In 1995 Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated after a peace rally.
