Littler entered the match as the defending champion and delivered a commanding performance. He commented on the mixed crowd reaction and praised Searle for an excellent tournament. The remaining semi-final will feature two-time champion Gary Anderson against 23-year-old Dutch player Gian van Veen to determine the other finalist.
