"Missing the energy of agency life but uninspired by existing coworking spaces, she set out to create her own. Zoom in: The cafe's first floor will be open to the public, featuring specialty drinks from Commonplace Coffee - lattes, cappuccinos, espresso and more. Local art will line the walls, with rotating exhibits for sale. The cafe's first floor will be open to the public."
Solnik created Creative Chem Co. to capture the collaborative energy of agency life while improving on existing coworking spaces. The first floor functions as a public cafe featuring Commonplace Coffee specialty drinks, public seating, and rotating local art for sale. A 10-by-18-foot Jeff Goldblum mural painted by Jeremy Raymer dominates the back wall. The second floor is reserved for members, accommodating about 35 people with a kitchen, large desks, meeting rooms, quiet booths and creative studios. Visitors can book spaces via an app with hourly, day-pass and multi-day options. The building retains traces of its industrial past, including old cranes.
