Casa CR JL is implanted on a rugged, steeply sloped lot at the edge of an arm of the Ibiúna reservoir in the interior of São Paulo. The design responds to the land's contours and the strong presence of water, using topography and views as structuring elements. The layout adapts to the slope and treats landscape features as spatial opportunities. A modular system was adopted to accommodate anticipated transformations and allow coherent future expansions over time. The house was conceived for a young couple and has grown progressively through that system. The resulting residence now contains five suites, reflecting the staged growth strategy.
