This Home's Retro Curb Appeal Makeover Feels Straight Out of Palm Springs
"I spied the most awesome colourful tiles online, and I just absolutely knew instantly that they would be coming to our home,"
"We removed the old front door and replaced it with a new 'old look door' from Bunnings,"
"We then painted it in a very bold pink (of course)."
"I sourced all the decor items online from FB Marketplace, Temu, [and] Bunnings, and reused some items I already had by DIYing them up and painting them."
Patsy and her husband renovated the front exterior to improve curb appeal, focusing on the front door, mudroom, and area under the front windows. Vibrant patterned tiles were chosen and installed on the walkway and beneath the front window, inspiring a bold color palette for the exterior. The house exterior was repainted sage green and the front door replaced with an 'old look' door painted Dulux Fuchsia Berry. Patsy's husband, a retired builder, completed tiling and construction work. The covered mudroom was furnished with a potted tree, hooks, and side tables to create a welcoming entrance. Many decor pieces were thrifted, sourced online, or upcycled through DIY.
